AFFECTIVE FACTORS IN SECOND LANGUAGE ACQUISITION

What do you think about putting students into categories according to personality tests?
Do you think it is beneficial for students or teacher?

I think the aim should not be to put into categories but to have information about students. because when you try to put into categories, there will surely be to many categories and this doesnt help. "to have information" is a better aim and this is the best way and the needed now, of education system. To know the students helps teachers to teach more, to teach what is appropriate. And this is beneficial for both students and teachers.

  2. I think putting students into categories according to personality types is useful for both the students and the teacher. When the students who have similar characteristics are in the same class, the teacher doesn’t have difficulties to teach them. The teacher can use the most appropriate way for them, because s/he can address all of the students at the same time.
